The McMinnville High Summer Baseball Program is an affiliate of the McMinnville High School baseball program and is designed primarily for current McMinnville High baseball players and their continued development. Under special circumstances, incoming freshmen may be permitted to participate.
The summer program consists of two teams:
- Varsity — sponsored by Willamette Valley Orthopedic and Sports Medicine
- Junior Varsity — sponsored by Alpine Fitness
Summer participation is intended to provide players with opportunities to develop and enhance the skills necessary to become successful high school baseball players. Depending on participation numbers, roster cuts may be necessary in order to maintain balanced and competitive teams.
The Varsity season runs through Sunday, July 13th, culminating with the McMinnville Baseball Tournament. The Junior Varsity team has the opportunity to qualify for postseason play and compete in the NWPBA Classic (Junior Varsity State Tournament), scheduled for July 18–20.
